An estimated 3000-4000 people joined the Student Climate Strike in Edmonton on Friday, September 27th. Students from the University of Alberta, MacEwan, NorQuest College, and public and Catholic schools walked out of their classrooms and gathered outside the legislature to protest political leaders’ lack of urgent and appropriate action in the face of the climate crisis.
